CANDICE CUOCO launches new swimwear collection

Just in time for summer, Project Runway’s CANDICE CUOCO has launched a new swimwear line, “The Book of Judith”, available now on CANDICECUOCO.COM.

The collection is named for the legendary biblical heroine who beguiled and beheaded General Holofernes, winning a war for her fear-paralyzed countrymen in the process.

Judith has long been a muse for Cuoco — an embodiment of women’s strength and cunning — ideals at the core of CANDICE CUOCO’s design philosophy. Like Candice’s couture runways and market-friendly ready-to-wear line, this swim collection honors women’s resilience.

The images I have placed in some of the bikinis, and the colors (or lack thereof) represent armor for women today. I use renders from Gustav Doré that show triumph through great sorrow, because that is what represents my journey as a woman coming into her own body and being proud of the skin I LIVE IN and my constant fight for that feeling. I wanted my swimwear to make women feel powerful when they put it on, and I want everyone else around them to feel that power. – CANDICE CUOCO

Custom textiles have become a hallmark of CANDICE CUOCO collections, and Candice has designed several new prints for this line. They feature grey-blue woodcut illustrations from Gustave Doré, freeform black and cream stripes, and risqué cream and rose florals superimposed with sexual imagery. The fabrics are printed to order utilizing EPSON America technology — ensuring sustainability by eliminating fabric overruns.

The swim line features options to bare-it-all or show just enough, accented with the unique embellishments CANDICE CUOCO is known for. Metal eyelets and studs highlight your curves, and detailed top-stitching accentuates your figure. Dramatic draped chiffon cover-ups complete the line.

The Book of Judith collection debuted at Miami Swim Week, where it was featured in Vogue and in the NY Style Guide.

CANDICE CUOCO is led by owner/creative director Candice Cuoco, who gained national fame as a finalist on Project Runway in 2015 (and again in 2018 for Project Runway All Stars). Candice is a fixture on fashion week runways and has designed custom pieces for celebrities throughout the entertainment industry. Her work has been featured in Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire and Glamour Magazines.
