CANDICE CUOCO Designs Custom Pieces For Lady Gaga’s New “Stupid Love” Music Video

Fashion designer CANDICE CUOCO has created several custom pieces for Lady Gaga’s new music video.

“Stupid Love” is Lady Gaga’s first pop single in four years and the video features post-apocalyptic styling with epic desert battles between color coded “tribes” of warriors.

For Lady Gaga’s futuristic pink tribe, CANDICE CUOCO created the asymmetrical pink bikini and ruffled-heart nipple pasty worn by Lady Gaga in the video’s dramatic climax.

For the blue tribe of freedom fighters, CANDICE CUOCO created thirteen individual looks, each featuring hand-distressed denim and industrial hardware accents.

The custom pieces were commissioned by the video’s stylist, longtime Lady Gaga collaborator Nicola Formichetti of Studio Formichetti.

CANDICE CUOCO is the eponymous label of Owner/Creative Director Candice Cuoco, who gained an international following after starring on television’s Project Runway and Project Runway: All Stars.

“I got into this fashion game because I saw Lady Gaga‘s Bad Romance video, fashion directed by Nicola Formichetti and wearing Alexander McQueen when he was alive. That’s when I knew there was a place for me in fashion.” – Candice Cuoco

Specializing in leather, the brand has become a fixture in magazines and at fashion weeks worldwide. In addition to recurring work for Lady Gaga, Candice has designed pieces for stars including Nicki Minaj, Banks, and Bebe Rexha.

CANDICE CUOCO is guided by Senior Advisor Lee Sporn, who has over 25 years of experience in fashion, most recently as Senior VP of Michael Kors, and previously as VP at Polo Ralph Lauren.

Whether runway or retail, Candice stays true to her creative vision, melding her Italian heritage with Bay Area roots and elevating fashion to art.
